Terms of Use

Effective Date: 14-11-2025

Last Updated: 14-11-2025

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, online store, and in-person services operated by GlossLab Pty Ltd and GlossLab Detailing Supplies Pty Ltd (together referred to as "GlossLab", "we", "our", or "us"). By using our website, purchasing products, or booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General

GlossLab operates an online store as well as physical detailing, paint protection, and automotive enhancement services within Australia. Use of the Service is restricted to individuals aged 17 or older who can legally enter into a binding agreement.

You agree to use the Service in accordance with Australian law and not engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or disruptive behaviour while using our website or interacting with our business.

2. Products and Services

GlossLab provides both physical automotive services (including detailing, ceramic coating, paint protection film installation, and maintenance washing) and retail products (including detailing supplies, tools, and accessories). All products and services are subject to availability and may change without notice.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure all product descriptions, service information, images, and specifications are accurate. However, variations may occur due to supplier updates, vehicle conditions, or operational changes.

3. Online Orders

By placing an order through our online store, you are making an offer to purchase goods subject to these Terms. Orders may be accepted, refused, or cancelled at our discretion for reasons including stock availability, suspected fraud, pricing errors, or incomplete information.

Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. Payment must be made in full using the secure payment methods offered on our site.

4. Shipping and Delivery

We deliver products Australia-wide using trusted courier and freight partners. Delivery times vary depending on your location, order size, and carrier capacity. Estimated delivery timeframes are indicative only and not guaranteed.

We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or parcel lockers. You must provide a valid physical street address for all deliveries. Some locations, including regional, remote, or restricted-access areas, may require alternative delivery arrangements or incur additional fees. We will contact you if additional costs or adjustments are required prior to dispatch.

Customers must provide accurate delivery information. Failed deliveries caused by incorrect details, inaccessible premises, or refusal to accept goods may incur redelivery or return freight charges.

Risk of loss or damage transfers to you upon delivery to the address provided or upon collection from a designated freight depot. If your order arrives damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours with clear photographs so we can initiate a carrier claim.

5. Bookings for Physical Services

Bookings for detailing, paint protection, or other in-person services may require a deposit to secure your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled with insufficient notice or if the vehicle is not made available at the agreed appointment time.

Before work begins, you must inform GlossLab of any pre-existing damage to your vehicle, including but not limited to: paint defects, scratches, dents, fading, clear coat failure, interior damage, weakened trims, loose or damaged exterior components, aftermarket modifications, or previous repair work. Failure to disclose existing damage may affect service outcomes and warranty eligibility.

By presenting your vehicle for service, you acknowledge that normal detailing, cleaning, or protection processes may reveal or worsen pre-existing defects—including paint damage, weakened clear coat, compromised panels, aged trims, stone chips, or prior poor-quality repair work. GlossLab is not responsible for deterioration that occurs as a result of underlying damage, neglect, or prior work outside our control.

Pricing may vary depending on the vehicle’s condition, contamination level, size, modifications, existing damage, or unexpected service requirements identified upon inspection. Any additional costs will be communicated before work begins. If you choose not to proceed after additional costs are disclosed, deposits may be forfeited to cover time and labour already allocated.

GlossLab reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where a vehicle:

  • Has undisclosed or significant pre-existing damage that creates risk of further damage during normal service
  • Presents safety concerns for staff, tools, or equipment
  • Is excessively contaminated, degraded, or structurally compromised
  • Contains hazardous materials, biological contamination, or unsecured personal items
  • Is located in an environment unsuitable for professional detailing or protection work

You agree to indemnify GlossLab for any loss, claim, liability, damage, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your failure to disclose pre-existing damage before services commence
  • Deterioration of existing defects, wear, or damage during normal cleaning or detailing procedures
  • Damage resulting from aftermarket modifications, prior poor repairs, or incompatible materials on the vehicle
  • Any misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance after services are completed

Where services cannot be completed due to any of the above issues, deposits may be retained to cover time, travel, and staff allocation.

Rescheduling requests will be accommodated where possible but remain subject to availability. Short-notice rescheduling may incur fees if appointment slots cannot be reasonably filled.

If you believe any new damage has occurred to your vehicle while in the care of GlossLab, you must notify us immediately—before the vehicle leaves our premises or, for mobile services, before our team departs your location. This allows us to inspect the vehicle, document the concern, and assess the situation while all parties are present.

Failure to report alleged damage at the time of service completion (or before leaving the location) may limit or void any claim, as GlossLab cannot reasonably verify when such damage occurred once the vehicle has left our control or custody.

6. Returns, Refunds, and Service Guarantees

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or replacement for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality.

Change-of-mind returns for products may be accepted at our discretion if items are unused, in original packaging, and returned within 14 days. Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.

Service fees are generally non-refundable once work has commenced. If a service issue arises from our workmanship, we will remedy it in accordance with our obligations under Australian Consumer Law.

Refunds will not be issued for issues caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or external damage outside GlossLab’s control.

7. Warranty

Products and services provided by GlossLab may include manufacturer warranties, service-specific warranties, or application warranties. Each warranty is governed by the terms supplied with the relevant product or service and may require ongoing maintenance, proper vehicle care, or adherence to specific aftercare procedures to remain valid.

To maintain warranty coverage, you must follow all product instructions, recommended usage guidelines, and care or maintenance schedules. Some services—such as ceramic coating, paint protection film, or detailing treatments—require periodic inspections or reapplication to remain eligible for warranty support.

Warranty claims may be rejected where issues arise from:

  • Misuse, improper handling, or negligent application of products
  • Incorrect installation or installation performed by an unauthorised third party
  • Failure to follow care instructions, aftercare requirements, or maintenance guidelines
  • Use of incompatible chemicals, tools, or cleaning methods
  • Environmental exposure, wear and tear, or damage caused by accidents or external factors beyond our control
  • Modifications made to the vehicle after service that affect product performance

Nothing in this Warranty section affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a warranty claim is accepted, GlossLab will remedy the issue in accordance with ACL requirements, which may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature and extent of the fault.

8. Accuracy of Information

We strive to ensure information on our website — including product specifications, service descriptions, pricing, and technical data — is accurate and up to date. Much of this information is sourced from manufacturers and suppliers.

We do not guarantee that all content is error-free or suitable for every application. Customers are encouraged to contact us for clarification prior to purchasing or booking.

GlossLab reserves the right to correct errors and update information at any time without notice.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GlossLab Pty Ltd, GlossLab Detailing Supplies Pty Ltd, and their respective directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your misuse of our website, products, or services
  • Your improper, incorrect, or negligent application or use of any products purchased from us on your vehicle or any other property
  • Your failure to follow product instructions, safety guidelines, or aftercare requirements
  • Your violation of any law or infringement of any third-party rights

This indemnity applies to damage or loss caused to your own vehicle, third-party vehicles or property, or any resulting personal injury, where such damage arises from your actions, misuse, or failure to follow instructions. This indemnity survives termination of your use of the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, GlossLab Pty Ltd and GlossLab Detailing Supplies Pty Ltd are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services, including but not limited to loss of profit, data, vehicle downtime, or business interruption.

We are not responsible for any damage, deterioration, defects, or performance issues resulting from:

  • Improper, incorrect, or negligent use or application of our products
  • Failure to follow product instructions, usage guidelines, or aftercare requirements
  • Using products on unsuitable, incompatible, or modified vehicle surfaces
  • Using products for purposes other than their intended use
  • Third-party installation, modifications, or repairs
  • Environmental exposure, wear and tear, or accidents outside our control

Where products or services are used incorrectly, applied without proper skill, or maintained inadequately, GlossLab will not be held liable for resulting vehicle damage or performance issues.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that cannot be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, our liability is restricted to the resupply of the goods or services or the refund of the applicable amount, at our election.

13. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party suppliers, tools, or resources. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or privacy practices. Access to third-party services is at your own risk.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for breaches of these Terms, unlawful activity, suspected fraud, or behaviour that may harm our business, customers, or staff.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of New South Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
